Company History Tangihua Technology Limited is a New Zealand registered company that was formed in October 1990. The Company takes its name from a mountain range that lies between Northland's east and west coasts. The company has specialised in providing Interactive Electronic Publishing (IEP) solutions to New Zealand and overseas customers. Until the products were withdrawn from the market and replaced by the TransitTM range, the company was the New Zealand distributor for the GUIDETM family of software products. ttl also produced a series of add-on products for GUIDE PassportTM and these were sold to users in Australia and Europe. In 1991, one of the company's interactive electronic manuals was highly commended at the IBM & Bits and Bytes New Zealand Computer Software Awards. |

In the same year the company released a Goods and Services Tax (GST) apportionment calculator for New Zealand businesses. In the mid 1990s HTML TransitTM TransitTM and Transit CentralTM were launched by InfoAccess Inc. These products subsequently replaced GUIDETM and GUIDE PassportTM. The company involvement with TransitTM ended in 2000 when InfoAccess Inc was acquired by another USA company. In 2000 the company released TAC - The Tax Apportionment Calculator that is also an arithmetic calculator. This calculator covers GST, Sales Tax, VAT and Income Tax calculations and apportionments. ttl's Tape and Tax Calculator, released in the 2nd quarter of 2007, combines in to one product an arithmetic calculator and a tax calculator. When operatings as a tax calculator, it switches atomically from an arithmetic calculation to a tax calculation. The tax calculator enables a user to combine up to two different direct taxes and a single tax income tax in to a calculation. It also includes a 1:2 apportionment calculator, a tape to be saved in a format that may be re-loaded in to a new tape, and an “Undo” button that may be used to delete a completed row or rows in the tape list.
