When the calculator is opened on the first occasion after it has been installed on the computer, it loads a set of tax types and rates that are based on the country name chosen by the user. This information is only provided as a guide and may be out of date or otherwise unsuitable or inaccurate. Use the Tax Options tab to check and set the direct tax settings that you require. On opening the Tax Options tab, please do check the set settings that have been provided as a guide. This is done loading the Year 1 settings by clicking on the Year 1 button. Edit the columns To and Tax Rate as required. These two columns contain input boxes that may be activated by a click on the relevant box. When editing is complete save the new settings and then repeat the process for Year 2. To complete a tax calculation, load either Year 1 or 2 settings. Enter a number in to the Taxable Income input box and then press the keyboard’s Enter key to complete the computation. The result is displayed in the Compute panel. The numbers in this panel may be copied.
